Honor your ancestors. Rule your clan. Let no cut go unanswered.
Welcome to Emerald Empire – a Crusader Kings III total conversion of samurai drama.
In 1995, players were welcomed into the world of Rokugan for the very first time in Legend of the Five Rings. A silk-and-steel fantasy setting, Rokugan is home to a number of Great Clans vying for power, all under the watch of the Emperor from their Emerald Throne and the Imperial Families who help administrate the great empire.
In Emerald Empire, we aim to bring the world of Rokugan to Crusader Kings III. Take control of one of the Great Clans and play out dynastical ambitions; play as one of the Minor Clans, caught between greater powers than yourself and striving to survive; or seize the reins of one of the Imperial Families – perhaps even the position of the Emperor themself – and work to keep the delicate balance that holds the Empire together.
Features
- Highly detailed map of Rokugan and surrounding environs
- “Twilight of the Hantei” bookmarks focused on the Prelude to the Scorpion Coup and the Clan Wars leading up to the Second Day of Thunder (1113 IC through 1128 IC)
- Seven playable Great Clans along with numerous playable Minor Clans – including the Mantis, Tortoise, and Fox – and playable Imperial Families
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you be using AEG’s canon or Fantasy Flight/Edge Studio’s?
For the most part, we will be following canon as it had been established under AEG as that’s what we mostly played under. Additionally, the lore under AEG was far more developed, allowing us to create a more fleshed-out history. However, we will be using elements from the Fantasy Flight/Edge Studio timeline where it makes sense to fill holes in AEG’s.
Are any DLCs required?
At the moment, All Under Heaven is required by the mod due to a number of additions that come only in the DLC itself that we use. We’re looking to eventually replace these with versions that will remove the necessity to own the DLC.
Will there be any more bookmarks coming?
Our primary focus right now is to expand upon the two Twilight of the Hantei bookmarks in order to make them an extremely polished experience. However, to quote a game director we’re quite fond of – please look forward to it.
